Dr. Murphy is a retired Army Colonel and has used his medical training to serve his country in many ways, including as the orthopedic consultant to The White House and The Pentagon. He is also the former Chief of Orthopedics at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

Sports medicine is Dr. Murphy’s passion, which he uses to serve the Jacksonville community as the team physician for various Duval and St. John’s county high schools, as well as for the Jacksonville Icemen and the University of North Florida Athletics.

Outside of the office, Dr. Murphy is a huge Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates and Penguins fan and also enjoys fishing.
