Dr. David Smith is a Montana native who grew up in Lewistown. He completed his undergraduate education at University of Montana and is a graduate of the State University of New York- Stony Brook, where he earned his D.D.S. degree.

Dr. Smith then completed a year of general practice residency in general dentistry before specializing in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He completed a 6 year dual degree program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, earning an M.D. at Weill Cornell Medical College as well as a year in general surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital- Weill Cornell Medical Center.
Dr. Smith has received several awards, including New York State Dean’s Award, UM Presidential Scholar, and is a Horatio Alger National Scholar.
