Dr. Tran graduated from Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with Magna Cum Laude overall and highest honor in his field of study. He then returned to his native Texas to attend the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. His clinical training continued at Presbyterian Hospital at Dallas where he completed an internship in Internal Medicine.
His ophthalmology training was at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He has been board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology since 2001 and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. His list of accomplishments include : co-authored important article in peer-reviewed professional journal, voted as "TOP DOC" in Tarrant County in the Fort Worth magazine . He has been VISX and INTRALASE and LASIK certified to perform LASER vision correction for near-sightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism since 2000.
